[122] Bhikkhus, these ten dhammas, when developed and cultivated, lead to the destruction of the taints (āsava). What ten? Right view (sammādiṭṭhi), right thought (sammāsaṅkappa), right speech (sammāvācā), right action (sammākammanta), right livelihood (sammā-ājīva), right effort (sammāvāyāma), right mindfulness (sammāsati), right concentration (sammāsamādhi), right knowledge (sammāñāṇa), right deliverance (sammāvimutti). These, bhikkhus, are the ten dhammas which, when developed and cultivated, lead to the destruction of the taints.
