[204] Bhikkhus, for the direct knowledge (abhiññā) of lust (rāga), ten dhammas should be developed. What ten? The perception of foulness (asubhasaññā), the perception of death (maraṇasaññā), the perception of repulsiveness in nutriment (āhāre paṭikkūlasaññā), the perception of non-delight in the whole world (sabbaloke anabhiratasaññā), the perception of impermanence (aniccasaññā), the perception of suffering (dukkha) in what is impermanent (anicce dukkhasaññā), the perception of non-self in what is suffering (dukkhe anattasaññā), the perception of abandonment (pahānasaññā), the perception of dispassion (virāgasaññā), and the perception of cessation (nirodhasaññā). Bhikkhus, for the direct knowledge of lust, these ten dhammas should be developed.
