[57] Bhikkhus, these ten perceptions (saññā), when developed and made much of, are of great fruit, of great benefit, merging in the Deathless (amata), culminating in the Deathless. What ten? The perception of impermanence (aniccasaññā), the perception of non-self (anattasaññā), the perception of death (maraṇasaññā), the perception of repulsiveness in nutriment (āhāre paṭikkūlasaññā), the perception of non-delight in all the world (sabbaloke anabhiratasaññā), the perception of a skeleton (aṭṭhikasaññā), the perception of a worm-infested corpse (puḷuvakasaññā), the perception of a livid corpse (vinīlakasaññā), the perception of a fissured corpse (vicchiddakasaññā), and the perception of a bloated corpse (uddhūmātakasaññā). These, bhikkhus, are the ten perceptions which, when developed and made much of, are of great fruit, of great benefit, merging in the Deathless, culminating in the Deathless.
