[258] ¹"There is no existence (bhava) whatever that is permanent, nor are even conditioned things (saṅkhārā) eternal; and those aggregates (khandhā) arise and pass away, again and again. Having known this danger (ādīnava), I have no need of existence; escaped from all sensual pleasures, I have attained the destruction of the taints (āsava)."
