[268] The desire to listen makes learning (suta) grow; learning makes wisdom (paññā) grow; by wisdom one knows the good (attha); the good, once known, brings happiness. One should resort to remote lodgings (senāsana); one should practice for release from the fetters (saṃyojana). If one should find no delight there, let one dwell in the Saṅgha, self-guarded and mindful (satīmā). Mahācunda Thera.
