[270] 3. Days and nights pass by; life comes to a halt; the life-span of mortals wastes away, like the water of little streams. Yet while doing evil deeds (pāpāni kammāni) the fool does not realize it; afterwards it turns bitter for him, for the result (vipāka) of it is evil. The Elder Heraññakāni.
