[282] "'They will trim my hair' — the barber approached; then, taking up the mirror, I examined my body. The body appeared hollow; the gloom amid the blinding darkness vanished; all the rags are utterly cut away; now there is no renewed existence (punabbhava)." The Elder Vītasoka.
