[309] 3. He who wishes to do afterwards the things that should have been done before falls away from the state of happiness and afterwards is filled with remorse. One should say only what one would do; what one would not do, one should not say. Him who talks without acting the wise recognize full well. Blissful indeed is Nibbāna, taught by the Fully Self-Enlightened One (sammāsambuddha) — sorrowless, free from dust, secure, wherein suffering (dukkha) ceases. Bākula the Elder.
