[310] 4. If one should wish to live happily, having regard for the ascetic life (sāmañña), one should not despise what belongs to the Saṅgha (saṅghika) — robes, drink, and food. If one should wish to live happily, having regard for the ascetic life, one should resort to one's lodging — bed and seat (sayanāsana) — as a snake resorts to a hole made by mice. If one should wish to live happily, having regard for the ascetic life, one should be content with whatever comes, and should develop the one thing (ekadhamma). The Elder Dhaniya.
