[314] 8. Even one person of faith and wisdom among relatives without faith, established in the Dhamma and accomplished in virtue (sīla), is for the good of his kinsmen. Rebuking them out of compassion, I urged on my relatives; out of love for family and kin, they did service to the bhikkhus. They have passed away, have died, and have attained happiness in heaven (tidiva); my brothers and my mother rejoice, enjoying the pleasures they desire. The Elder Passika.
