[324] 2. Overcome by drowsiness (middha), I went out from my dwelling; as I was climbing onto the walking-meditation path (caṅkama), right there I fell to the ground. Having rubbed my limbs, I climbed onto the walking path once more; I paced up and down upon the walking path, inwardly well concentrated. Then careful attention (yoniso manasikāra) arose in me; the danger (ādīnava) became manifest; disenchantment (nibbidā) became firmly established. Then my mind (citta) was liberated — behold the excellence of the Dhamma (dhammasudhammatā)! The three true knowledges (tisso vijjā) have been attained; the Buddha's teaching (sāsana) has been fulfilled. The Elder Bhagu.
