[326] 4. "Fie upon you, full [of filth], foul-smelling,
on Māra's side, oozing!
Nine streams there are in your body,
which flow at all times.
Do not think upon what is past;
do not assail the Tathāgatas.
They are not attached even in heaven —
how much less, then, to what is human!
But those who are fools, of poor wisdom,
of evil counsel, shrouded in delusion —
such ones are attached there,
in the bond cast by Māra.
But those in whom lust (rāga), hatred (dosa),
and ignorance (avijjā) have been expunged —
such steadfast ones are not attached there:
the thread is cut; they are bound no more."
