[342] 8.
"Afflicted by the wind-disease as you dwell in the woodland grove,
in a rough place where the alms-resort is restricted — what will you do, bhikkhu?"
"Suffusing this body with abundant rapture (pīti) and happiness,
mastering even what is rough, I shall dwell in the grove.
Developing the establishments of mindfulness (satipaṭṭhāna), the faculties (indriya), and the powers (bala),
and developing the factors of awakening (bojjhaṅga), I shall dwell in the grove.
Having seen those with energy (vīriya) aroused, resolute, ever firm in exertion,
in concord and united, I shall dwell in the grove.
Recollecting the Fully Enlightened One (sambuddha), self-tamed, concentrated,
unwearied night and day, I shall dwell in the grove."
