"I have obtained the full ordination (upasampadā),
and I am liberated, free of taints (āsava);
the Blessed One himself I have seen,
and in the dwelling I dwelt together with him.
Much of the night the Blessed One
passed in the open air;
then the Teacher, skilled in abidings (vihāra),
entered the dwelling.
Having spread out his outer robe (saṅghāṭi),
Gotama lay down to rest,
like a lion in a rocky cave,
with fear and dread abandoned.
Then Soṇa, of lovely utterance,
a disciple of the Fully Self-Enlightened One (sammāsambuddha),
spoke the true Dhamma (saddhamma)
in the presence of the supreme Buddha.
Having fully understood (pariññāya) the five aggregates (pañcakkhandhā),
having illuminated the direct path (añjasa),
having attained the supreme peace,
free of taints he will attain final Nibbāna (parinibbāna)."
