Whose counsellors should be wise men such as this—
even as Ghata, the wise man, has today brought me to see reason!
Truly, while I was ablaze like a fire sprinkled with ghee,
he doused me, as it were, with water, and quenched all my anguish.

Truly he has drawn out the dart that was lodged in my heart;
he who, for me overcome by sorrow, dispelled the sorrow for my son.
With the dart drawn out, I am free from sorrow, unclouded;
I sorrow not, I weep not, having heard you, young man.
