[1678] For he swallows a hook with its long line, fastening and all, who, when a guest is seated, eats his food alone. Therefore I say to you, Kosiya: give gifts (dāna) and eat as well; ascend the noble path (ariyamagga) — one who eats alone gains no happiness.
