[2097] "Not for another's sake, nor even for his own, does the one of vast wisdom (bhūripañña) speak falsehood; he is honored in the midst of the assembly, and afterwards, too, he is bound for a good destination (sugati). Seeing this as well, I say: the wise man alone is better, not the fool endowed with fame."
