[2098] Elephants, cattle, and horses, gems and earrings, and women born in prosperous families — all these become objects of enjoyment for the prosperous man; and those without prosperity, too, [become objects of enjoyment for the prosperous man]. Seeing this too, I say: the man of wisdom is inferior; only the man of fortune (sirī) is superior.
