[1020] Having seen him of wisdom vast as the earth, Vimalā, raising her ten fingers joined in reverential salutation (añjali), with joyful heart, delighted in mien, spoke thus to the foremost minister (kattuseṭṭha) of the Kurus: "Having seen what you had never seen before — a mortal oppressed by the peril of death — dismayed, you did not salute: this, it seems, is not the way of the wise."
