[283] "When dawn is rising at the close of night, she who appears, supreme in form and beauty — like her, O goddess, you appear to me. Tell me: which of the celestial nymphs (accharā) are you? Like a dark [creeper] in the hot season, like a flame of fire stirred by the wind, garlanded with red leaves — who are you, that stand gazing like a bewildered doe, and, though seeming about to speak, utter no word?"
