[284] "I am Hirī, a goddess honored among humans, ever consorting with beings who are free from evil. Through the dispute over the celestial food (sudhā) I have come into your presence; yet I cannot bring myself even to ask for the sudhā, for asking, on a woman's part, seems as shameful as nakedness (kopīna) laid bare."
