"A man should hope on; a wise man should not grow weary.
I see myself: as I wished, so it has come to be.

Even when brought to suffering (dukkha), a man possessed of wisdom
should not cut off hope for the coming of happiness;
for many are the contacts (phassa), both harmful and beneficial:
those who take no thought of them come to death.
Even what was not thought of comes to pass, and even what was thought of perishes;
for the riches of a woman or of a man are not wrought by thought."
