[548] All aglow, burning, blazing, a great iron cauldron (lohakumbhī) comes into view. Fear indeed comes upon me, O charioteer, when I see it. I ask you, Mātali, charioteer of the devas: what evil, pray, did these mortals do, these people who fall (head downward) into the iron cauldron?
