[550] "Then they tear off their necks — having first wrapped them round and soaked them in hot water. Fear indeed comes upon me, charioteer, at this sight; I ask you, Mātali, charioteer of the devas: what evil, pray, have these mortals done, these people who lie with their heads torn off?"
