Suddhaṭṭhakasuttaniddesa

[114] If purity comes to a person through what is seen, or if by knowledge (ñāṇa) he abandons suffering (dukkha), then he — one still with acquisitions (upadhi) — is purified by another [means]; for his view proclaims him as one who speaks thus.
