Paramaṭṭhakasuttaniddesa

Suttapiṭaka · Khuddakanikāya · Mahāniddesa · Vol. 29 · Section 165

[165] **"Even with regard to knowledge (ñāṇa) he does not create a dependence (nissaya)"** means: with regard to the knowledge of the eight attainments (samāpatti), or with regard to the knowledge of the five superknowledges (abhiññā), or with regard to wrong knowledge (micchāñāṇa), he does not create a dependence through craving (taṇhā) or a dependence through views (diṭṭhi) — he does not produce it, does not generate it, does not bring it forth, does not bring it into being. Therefore it is said: "Even with regard to knowledge he does not create a dependence."
