Suttapiṭaka · Khuddakanikāya · Mahāniddesa · Vol. 29 · Section 296

[296] **He laughs and is puffed up by that (so hassati uṇṇamaticca tena):** by that gain of victory (jayattha) he is pleased, delighted, gladdened, satisfied in mind, his intention fulfilled. Or alternatively, he laughs showing his teeth (dantavidaṃsakaṃ); thus, "he laughs." **And is puffed up by that:** by that gain of victory he is puffed up—there is elation (uṇṇama), a banner (dhaja), flaunting (sampaggāha), the mind's (citta) desire for a banner (ketukamyatā). Thus, "he laughs and is puffed up by that." [Variant note in the Siam Raṭṭha edition: the Burmese reading is *unnamatī ca*.]
