[510] **Or do they declare [purity] as something else beyond this** (udāhu aññampi vadanti etto): or do some ascetics and brahmins, having passed beyond, having gone altogether beyond, having transcended these formless attainments (arūpasamāpatti), declare, tell of, speak of, explain, and express a purity (suddhi), a distinguished purity, a complete purity, a freedom, a deliverance, a complete deliverance of the spirit (yakkha) that is other than and higher than this formless [attainment]? Hence, "or do they declare [purity] as something else beyond this." Therefore that created one (nimmita) said:
That which we asked, you have declared to us;
we ask you another thing — come, tell us that:
do some who are wise here declare that just this much is the supreme,
the purity of the spirit,
or do they declare it as something else beyond this?
