[565] **Having taken his stand on a determination, he laughs:** the sixty-two views (diṭṭhigata) are called determinations (vinicchaya). Having taken his stand on a determined view, having established himself upon it, having grasped it, misapprehended it, and adhered to it — thus, "having taken his stand on a determination." **He laughs:** he is pleased, glad, elated, delighted in mind, his intentions fulfilled. Or else, he laughs so as to display his teeth — thus, "having taken his stand on a determination, he laughs."
