[641] *Some say that dhamma is supreme (yamāhu dhammaṃ paramanti eke)*: whatever dhamma — whatever view (diṭṭhi), mode of practice (paṭipadā), or path — some ascetics and brahmins have said thus, speak thus, declare thus, explain thus, and express thus: "This is supreme, foremost, best, distinguished, pre-eminent, highest, most excellent" — therefore, "some say that dhamma is supreme."
