[546] **"Others too say that it is hollow and false" (tamāhu aññepi tucchaṃ musā):** some ascetics and brahmins say thus of that very teaching (dhamma), that view (diṭṭhi), that mode of practice (paṭipadā), that path (magga): "This is hollow, this is false, this is untrue, this is baseless, this is not in accord with fact" — thus they say, thus they speak, thus they declare, thus they explain, thus they express. Therefore it is said, "Others too say that it is hollow and false."
