[719] **"A bhikkhu should not seek peace by another way"** means: by another way — by the path of impurity, by wrong practice (micchāpaṭipadā), by a path that does not lead out [of suffering] — apart from the establishments of mindfulness (satipaṭṭhāna), apart from the right exertions (sammappadhāna), apart from the bases of success (iddhipāda), apart from the faculties (indriya), apart from the powers (bala), apart from the factors of awakening (bojjhaṅga), apart from the noble eightfold path — one should not seek, should not search for, should not seek out peace, appeasement, complete stilling, quenching, tranquility. Therefore it is said: "A bhikkhu should not seek peace by another way."
