[878] **"The sage (muni) does not speak among equals, among inferiors, among superiors"** — knowledge (ñāṇa) is called sagacity (mona): that is, the wisdom, the understanding … having gone beyond the tie and the net, he is a sage. The sage does not say, does not speak, does not utter, does not explain, does not declare, "I am better," or "I am equal," or "I am inferior"; therefore, "the sage does not speak among equals, among inferiors, among superiors."
