[132] When [a fund] has been designated for one particular thing, and perceiving it as designated for that particular thing, she has something else procured in exchange: it is to be relinquished (nissaggiya), [entailing] an offense of expiation (pācittiya). When it has been designated for one particular thing, and being doubtful, she has something else procured in exchange: it is to be relinquished, [entailing] an offense of expiation. When it has been designated for one particular thing, and perceiving it as not designated for that particular thing, she has something else procured in exchange: it is to be relinquished, [entailing] an offense of expiation.
Having received back what was relinquished, it should be applied in accordance with the original gift.
When it has not been designated for a particular thing, and she perceives it as designated for a particular thing: an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa). When it has not been designated for a particular thing, and she is doubtful: an offense of wrong-doing. When it has not been designated for a particular thing, and she perceives it as not designated for a particular thing: no offense.
