[131] **"Whoever":** whoever, of whatever sort … **"Bhikkhunī":** … this is the bhikkhunī intended in this sense.
**"With a fund (parikkhāra) intended for one purpose, designated for another":** with what was given for the purpose of something else.
**"Belonging to many people (mahājanika)":** for the purpose of a group [1] — not of the Saṅgha, not of a single bhikkhunī.
**"Asked for by herself (saññācika)":** having requested it herself.
**"Should have something else procured in exchange":** setting aside that for the purpose of which it was given, she has something else procured in exchange — in the effort there is an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa); with the obtaining, it becomes subject to forfeiture (nissaggiya). It must be forfeited to the Saṅgha, or to a group, or to a single bhikkhunī. "And thus, bhikkhus, it should be forfeited: …" "Venerable ladies, this other thing, procured by me in exchange — with a fund intended for one purpose, designated for another, belonging to many people, asked for by myself — is subject to forfeiture. I forfeit it to the Saṅgha." … "should give …" … "they should give …" … "I give it to the venerable lady."
