Vinayapiṭaka · Bhikkhunī Vibhaṅga · Vol. 3 · Section 20

[20] **"That bhikkhunī"** means the bhikkhunī (bhikkhunī) who follows the suspended one (ukkhittānuvattikā). **"By bhikkhunīs"** means by other bhikkhunīs. Those who see and those who hear should admonish her thus: "Venerable lady (ayye), this bhikkhu has been suspended (ukkhitta) by a united Saṅgha in accordance with the Dhamma, the Vinaya, and the Teacher's instruction; he is disrespectful, he has not made amends, and he has not made [anyone] his companion. Venerable lady, do not follow this bhikkhu." She should be admonished a second time; she should be admonished a third time. If she relinquishes it, that is good; if she does not relinquish it, there is an offense of wrongdoing (dukkaṭa). If, having heard, they do not speak, there is an offense of wrongdoing. That bhikkhunī should be drawn even into the midst of the Saṅgha and admonished: "Venerable lady, this bhikkhu has been suspended by a united Saṅgha in accordance with the Dhamma, the Vinaya, and the Teacher's instruction; he is disrespectful, he has not made amends, and he has not made [anyone] his companion. Venerable lady, do not follow this bhikkhu." She should be admonished a second time; she should be admonished a third time. If she relinquishes it, that is good; if she does not relinquish it, there is an offense of wrongdoing.
