[250] **"Whatever":** means whoever, of whatever sort … . **"Bhikkhunī":** … this is the bhikkhunī intended in this sense. **"Expectation of an uncertain robe (dubbalacīvarapaccāsā)"** means: speech has been uttered thus: "If we are able, we shall give, we shall make [it]." **"Robe-season (cīvarakālasamaya)"** means: when the kaṭhina has not been spread, the last month of the rains; when the kaṭhina has been spread, five months. **"Should let the robe-season pass":** when the kaṭhina has not been spread, she lets the last day of the rains pass — an offense of pācittiya. When the kaṭhina has been spread, she lets the day of the removal of the kaṭhina pass — an offense of pācittiya.
