[94] **"Whatever"** means: whoever, of whatever sort … **"Bhikkhunī"** means: … this is the bhikkhunī intended in this context.
**"Bowl" (patta):** there are two kinds of bowl — an iron bowl and a clay bowl. There are three classes (vaṇṇā) of bowl: a large bowl, a medium bowl, and a small bowl. A **large** bowl takes half an āḷhaka of boiled rice, a fourth part of that in hard food, and a suitable amount of curry. A **medium** bowl takes a nāḷika of boiled rice, a fourth part of that in hard food, and a suitable amount of curry. A **small** bowl takes a pattha of boiled rice, a fourth part of that in hard food, and a suitable amount of curry. Larger than that, it is not a bowl; smaller than that, it is not a bowl.
**"Should make a store"** means: [a bowl] not determined (anadhiṭṭhita), not assigned (avikappita).
**"It becomes subject to forfeiture" (nissaggiya):** it becomes subject to forfeiture together with the rising of dawn; it must be forfeited to a Saṅgha, to a group, or to a single bhikkhunī. And thus, bhikkhus, should it be forfeited.
