[182] **"A bhikkhu, wandering, having abandoned things cherished as 'mine'"** — *Bhikkhu*: a **bhikkhu** who is a worthy ordinary person (kalyāṇaputhujjana), or a bhikkhu who is a trainee (sekha).
*Wandering (caraṃ)*: wandering, roaming about, deporting himself, carrying on, maintaining himself, keeping himself going, sustaining himself.
*Things taken as 'mine' (mamattā)*: there are two kinds of taking as 'mine': taking as 'mine' through craving (taṇhā) and taking as 'mine' through view (diṭṭhi) … this is taking as 'mine' through craving … this is taking as 'mine' through view. Having abandoned taking as 'mine' through craving, having relinquished taking as 'mine' through view, having abandoned, forsaken, dispelled, eliminated, and brought to non-existence the takings as 'mine' — therefore it is said: "a bhikkhu, wandering, having abandoned things cherished as 'mine'."
