[245] **"Tell me a support, O All-Seeing One (Samantacakkhu)."**
"Tell me a support (ārammaṇaṃ brūhi)": a support (ārammaṇa), a holding-point, a basis, a sustaining basis — tell it, declare it, teach it, make it known, establish it, disclose it, analyze it, make it plain, proclaim it. Thus: "tell me a support."
"O All-Seeing One": "All-Seeing Eye" is a designation for the knowledge of omniscience (sabbaññutañāṇa). The Blessed One is endowed with, fully endowed with, has come to, fully come to, attained, fully attained, and is possessed of that knowledge of omniscience.
"There is nothing here unseen by him,
nor anything unknown or that cannot be known;
he has directly known all that is knowable:
therefore the Tathāgata is the All-Seeing One."
Thus: "Tell me a support, O All-Seeing One."
