[315] **Those here who have abandoned all that is seen, or heard, or sensed (muta), or even virtuous conduct and observances (sīlabbata)**: those who, having abandoned all purities through the seen [1] — having given them up, dispelled them, made an end of them, brought them to non-existence — [who have abandoned] all purities through the heard, all purities through the seen and the heard, all purities through the sensed, all purities through virtuous conduct (sīla), all purities through observances (vata), all purities through virtuous conduct and observances — having abandoned them, given them up, dispelled them, made an end of them, brought them to non-existence — therefore: "those here who have abandoned all that is seen, or heard, or sensed, or even virtuous conduct and observances."
