[326] **Before the dispensation of Gotama (huraṃ Gotamasāsanā)**: before the dispensation (sāsana) of Gotama; beyond the dispensation of Gotama; prior to the dispensation of Gotama; earlier than the dispensation of Gotama — than the dispensation of the Buddha, the dispensation of the Jina, the dispensation of the Tathāgata, the dispensation of the Arahant. Hence, "before the dispensation of Gotama."
