[590] **Apart from the dispensation of Gotama (huraṃ Gotamasāsanā)**: apart from the dispensation (sāsana) of Gotama, other than the dispensation of Gotama, before the dispensation of Gotama, earlier than the dispensation of Gotama — the dispensation of the Buddha, the dispensation of the Jina, the dispensation of the Tathāgata, the dispensation of the Deva, the dispensation of the Arahant. Therefore, "apart from the dispensation of Gotama."
