[568] *That path is for going to the far shore (maggo so pāragamanāya)*: a path (magga), a road (pantha), a route (patha), a way (pajja), a straight way (añjasa), a roadway (vaṭumāyana), a boat (nāvā), a bridge for crossing over (uttarasetu), a raft (pakulla), a causeway (saṅkama).
*For going to the far shore*: for going to the far shore, for reaching the far shore, for fully attaining the far shore — that is, for crossing over aging and death (jarā-maraṇa). Therefore it is said, "That path is for going to the far shore."
