[61] **"Tell me, what is its smearing?"** — What is that world's smearing (abhilepana), its adhesion, its bondage, its defilement (upakkilesa)? By what is the world smeared, besmeared, soiled, thoroughly defiled, stained, entangled, stuck, caught, and impeded? Tell it, declare it, teach it, make it known, establish it, disclose it, analyze it, make it plain, proclaim it. Hence, "Tell me, what is its smearing?"
