[699] **Like a koviḷāra tree with its leaves shed** (sañchinnapatto yathā koviḷāro): just as the leaves of a koviḷāra tree, withered, are cut off and fallen, even so the marks of a householder (gihibyañjana) of that Paccekasambuddha are cut off and fallen — therefore, "like a koviḷāra tree with its leaves shed."
