[103] How is wisdom (paññā) in contemplating the change of presently arisen dhammas the knowledge (ñāṇa) of contemplation of rise and fall (udayabbayānupassanā)?
Form (rūpa) that has arisen is present; its characteristic of being produced is rise, its characteristic of change is fall; the contemplation of this is knowledge. Feeling (vedanā) that has arisen … perception (saññā) that has arisen … volitional formations (saṅkhārā) that have arisen … consciousness (viññāṇa) that has arisen … the eye (cakkhu) that has arisen … existence (bhava) that has arisen is present; its characteristic of being produced is rise, its characteristic of change is fall; the contemplation of this is knowledge.
