[109] When seeing the disappearance (vaya) [of the aggregate of feeling], which five characteristics does one see?
One sees the disappearance of the aggregate of feeling (vedanākkhandha) in the sense of the cessation of its condition (paccaya): "With the cessation of ignorance (avijjā) there is the cessation of feeling (vedanā)." One sees the disappearance of the aggregate of feeling in the sense of the cessation of its condition: "With the cessation of craving (taṇhā) there is the cessation of feeling." One sees the disappearance of the aggregate of feeling in the sense of the cessation of its condition: "With the cessation of kamma there is the cessation of feeling." One sees the disappearance of the aggregate of feeling in the sense of the cessation of its condition: "With the cessation of contact (phassa) there is the cessation of feeling." Also when seeing the characteristic of change (vipariṇāma), one sees the disappearance of the aggregate of feeling. Seeing the disappearance of the aggregate of feeling, one sees these five characteristics. Seeing arising and disappearance (udayabbaya), one sees these ten characteristics.
