[120] How is the wisdom consisting in desire for release, in reflection, and in composure the knowledge (ñāṇa) of equanimity toward formations (saṅkhārupekkhā)? The wisdom consisting in desire for release from arising (uppāda), in reflection, and in composure is knowledge of equanimity toward formations; the wisdom consisting in desire for release from occurrence (pavatta), in reflection, and in composure is knowledge of equanimity toward formations; desire for release from the sign (nimitta) … desire for release from accumulation (āyūhana), desire for release from rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), desire for release from destination (gati), desire for release from generation (nibbatti), desire for release from reappearance (upapatti), desire for release from birth, desire for release from aging, desire for release from illness (byādhi), desire for release from death, desire for release from sorrow, desire for release from lamentation; the wisdom consisting in desire for release from despair, in reflection, and in composure is knowledge of equanimity toward formations.
