[205] Seeing the sign of form (rūpanimitta) as fearful, because of being resolved upon the signless, touching again and again one sees the passing away — this is the signless abiding (animitto vihāro). Seeing the wish for form (rūpapaṇidhi) as fearful, because of being resolved upon the wishless, touching again and again one sees the passing away — this is the wishless abiding (appaṇihito vihāro). Seeing adherence to form (rūpābhinivesa) as fearful, because of being resolved upon the empty, touching again and again one sees the passing away — this is the empty abiding (suññato vihāro).
